Hello, my name is Lorato Plaatjie, and I am the Accommodation Manager for New South Wales.
I joined Thrive365 in May 2019, beginning my journey as a Support Worker, where I supported participants with personal care, goal setting, and skill development to promote independence and choice. I then transitioned to being a Practice Leader in 2022 before being promoted to Accommodation Manager a year later.
As my passion for this work grew, I pursued further professional development, completing a Certificate IV in Disability and later a Bachelor of Applied Social Science (Community Services). These studies have strengthened my leadership approach and deepened my commitment to delivering high-quality, person-centred care.
I am deeply passionate about making a positive difference in people’s lives. I strongly believe that disability is not inability, and I am committed to working closely with individuals and teams to build skills, confidence, and independence while maintaining the highest standards of care.
